Recycle for Southampton provides residents with helpful information about recycling and waste disposal in the city of Southampton. Features: - Collection dates: Find recycling and waste collection dates for your area each month, and find out what items can be recycled. - Recycle points: Search all recycle and disposal points throughout the city (using GPS) and find out which are suitable for your waste or recycling. Find points closest to your current GPS location in Kilometres, Filter map by accepted material types and a digital compass to aid direction to points. - Set collection reminders: Be reminded when your recycling or waste is due for collection. -Manage containers: Join a recycling/waste Scheme, Report Lost or Stolen Containers, Missed collections and request an Assisted collection (For those unable to put bins out themselves). -Recyclable items: Find accepted and not accepted materials for your recycling collections. Filter to recycle map direct from the material types. -Product scanner: Scan regular household products for recycling information. If a product is not recognised submit it for verification by Southampton City Council. This database is community led. -QR scanner: Scan QR media where featured for a description of materials accepted/not accepted in each of your containers. **PLEASE NOTE** The Product/QR scanner will only work on these iOS devices, 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5th generation, iPad 3 & 4 & the iPad Minis. All other devices will have the Product scanner replaced with a manual entry input field for submitting a barcode and the QR option will be hidden. -Report it: Report street enforcement issues using your Camera and GPS to tag your location for sending direct to Southampton City Council for resolution. -Latest news: Receive up to date news from Southampton City Council directly to your iOS device. -Receive service messages: Opt in to receive direct messages and news from Southampton City Council regarding their services i.e. service disruptions due to bad weather etc. Recycle for Southampton is designed and maintained by my-mo and is the official recycle app for Southampton City Council.
